Same Day Taj Mahal Tour Itinerary
Welcome!!!
Plan Our Travel India's representative will meet you at your hotel lobby/place you wish to start the tour in the early morning. He will introduce you with the driver. Agra is around 205 kms from Delhi and the Journey will take approx 3 hours from Yamuna Express Highway.
On reaching Agra visit first the iconic symbol of Love and affection “The Taj Mahal”. It is situated on the bank of river Yamuna. A divine fragrance of peace blows in the air of Taj. Its construction started in 1631 and completed on 1653. Taj Mahal is situated on 6 meters high marble plinth with four minarets at each corner. Beautiful gardens surrounding it enhance its charm and beauty.
After visit of Taj you may have lunch.
Post Lunch visit Agra Fort. This is a mighty Mughal Citadel built by Emperor Akbar between 1565 and 1573. Several other additions were made by Jehangir and Sha Jhan to this architectural wonder. Moti Masjid, Diwan- e- am, Diwan- e- Khaas, Musamman Burj are some of the highlights of this fort.
If time permits you may visit Itmad-ud-daulah’s tomb. It is set on the opposite bank of Yamuna River from the Taj and was built during 1622-1628. It is the first marble monument built by Mughal.
10 kms from Agra, there is mausoleum of Emperor Akbar “Sikandra”. This architectural wonder is an amalgamation of Hindu, Islamic, Buddhist and even Jain architecture.
After visiting Sikandra, drive back to Delhi. On arriving Delhi our driver will drop you at your hotel/airport/place from where your tour starts.
